If you think you might like to work with me, I am happy to do a brief phone consultation with you to answer any questions. However, it is my experience that the most accurate way to tell if we are a good fit is for us to meet in person and go from there. So much of this work is about the connection one feels to their therapist and face-to-face is simply the best way to tell if there is a connection. generally, I return phone calls within 24 hours. (415)878-6366 I have a strong preference for in-person sessions, but will see people via telehealth (video or phone) for compelling reasons. If you know that you want telehealth, you can reach out to my colleague For adult and adolescent individual psychotherapy: Lura Hawkins, MFT |

Insurance & Flexible spending
I am not currently on any insurance panels. However, many people have flexible spending accounts that will help with some or all of the fee. Your particular policy may also cover "out-of-network-provider" fees. I encourage you to find out if your employer or PPO has such a policy. If so, I am happy to provide you with all relevant documentation to help recoup those fees.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
You are entitled to a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
